WTMJ had a lot of potential, but now it's littered with partisan moves like getting rid of the sports anchor who *gasp* in her personal life signed a Scott Walker recall petition, and with purely conservative shows like Charlie Sykes, Dennis Miller and Jeff Wagner to a certain extent. WGN hosts might have political stripes - left, right, down the center, but their shows aren't about jamming that down the throat of the listener. I think TMJ could survive without the spin and I think what it's doing is to compete with WISN. The truth is people live in barns now. They never go out in the fields and talk to each other, they stay in their own homes and by homes I mean FOX News or MSNBC. It's why CNN has such low ratings.
