What do you think about Dan O'Donnell in his "talk show host" role versus his old straight news persona at WTMJ? He is still very good at his straight news reports even on WISN but then days like today he is filling in for Mark Belling where he sounds like a completely different person. I never knew he was such a hardcore conservative and respectfully I don't care to know. Even more odd, it isn't like he is a full time weekday host, he is a full time news reporter/anchor and swing for occasional personality-driven shows. It ruins his credibility and I notice the right-wing lean in his hourly news reports now. I don't want to get into a battle of if there is a mainstream media versus alternative media. I am more concerned with someone who used to be a respected credible news guy, turning into the infrequent talk show host while still doing news. And the talk show shifts aren't regular enough to justify ruining your should-be unbiased nonpartisan radio news reputation. Care to share your thoughts? Am I off base?

(Not Dan O'Donnell - that might be confusing but I can't change my name!)
