GREATER MEDIA Classic Rock WCSX/DETROIT has named KEITH HASTINGS its new PD, replacing BRENT ALBERTS who left the station on NOVEMBER 15. HASTINGS' new position will begin immediately. In his new role, HASTINGS will be responsible for overseeing the daily programming duties of the heritage classic rock station in the MOTOR CITY.

"We knew that KEITH had a great track record when he joined us as a consultant last fall, "said GREATER MEDIA/DETROIT Market Manager STEVE KOSBAU. "During his time here, he has demonstrated the tremendous vision and leadership that will keep WCSX DETROIT's dominant Classic Rock station well into the future. We are thrilled to have him."

"My thanks to PETER SMYTH, STEVE KOSBAU, BUZZ KNIGHT, FRED JACOBS and GREATER MEDIA for welcoming me to one of AMERICA's truly great Classic Rock brands," said HASTINGS. "With assets like the unmatched musical heritage of DETROIT, our veteran personalities, top shelf digital platforms, and commitment to being the best at what we do, I'm excited and honored to embrace this new opportunity at WCSX."

HASTINGS most recently served as an independent, on-site consultant, launching CONNOISSEUR MEDIA's Rock WWSK/LONG ISLAND last SEPTEMBER and has been on-site overseeing the programming efforts of GREATER MEDIA's WCSX since NOVEMBER 2012.

HASTING's career includes 18 years with SAGA COMMUNICATIONS, holding PD positions at WAQY/SPRINGFIELD, MA, WLZR/MILWAUKEE, and WHQG/MILWAUKEE, as well as launching and consulting KAZR/DES MOINES and WLZX/SPRINGFIELD.
