Where will AM Radio be in 10 years?

And don't say "silent". :)

My predictions:

Conservative talk radio will still exist, but on a much, much smaller scale. By 2023 all of the "old guard" in right-wing radio will have been long retired, and the format will not be anywhere near as popular as it was during its heyday in the 90's and early 2000's. There will be no "Rush Limbaugh 2.0" coming along because the public and advertisers will have made it clear that they are not interested in Angry Old White Man Radio.

There will be very little if any music on AM, save perhaps for Spanish music.

By 2023 AM radio will be dominated by Sports Talk (and sports play-by-play), and General Interest Talk (which will see a resurgence), as well as Advice/Help Talk shows dealing with relationships, health, etc.

There will be a smattering of Religious stations but even they will only be playing pre-recorded sermons and live broadcasts from churches with very little independently produced content.
