What makes you say that? What makes you think 93-1 jAMZ is special? WKPO (discussed here recently) tried different angles of the Rhythmic format for several years before management dropped it and put something cheaper on that generated more dependable revenue.

For some reason revenue is a tough thing for a rhythmic station in Madison to sustain. That is why Z104 leans so mainstream and AC during 85% of its broadcast day.

jAMZ has the backing of a better management group (versus WKPO and Karmazin). jAMZ also has a better frequency and signal for Madison. However the last billing that I saw for jAMZ (granted, from a year ago) was distressing.
