Let me explain Dawson McAllister for you.

The show itself originally started as a talk show for troubled youth on religious stations.

CC began running it on some of their CHR stations, mostly for public affairs purposes.

About 5 years ago, Premiere Radio Networks (Owned by Clear Channel) began to syndicate the show.

Like Delilah, there's various versions of the show.

There's an all talk version. DM Live.

There's a version with both the talk segments and locally programmed music. These segments are usually provided to the stations via voice tracks.

The DM Latenights version is also like the above version. Voice tracks mixed with locally programmed music.

There's also a version for Hot AC stations, catering to the 25-34 crowd.

They can also be done in various ways, either full blown satellite or via voice track.

It's not Premium Choice programming, as it's not limited to Clear Channel stations. It is however a good form of fulfilling public affairs requirements.

Very few (if any) religious stations carry the show anymore. It's mostly on CHR stations.

"Premium Choice" is a pre generated log of music and generic voice tracks for each format. Some stations carry it overnights, middays, weekends, or various shifts, others in much smaller markets (Like Z100 in Eau Claire) carry it almost all day long. They usually have various jocks from around the country do the generic VTing.

All the Premium Choice formats stream (In Eastern Time zone) on the iHeartradio site on the national listing. They have names:

CHR = Hit Nation (WZEE, WBIZ)

Rhythmic Pop CHR = Wild (WKSC Chicago overnights.)

60s-70s Oldies = Cool Oldies (WRIT)

70s-80s Oldies = Big Classic Hits

50s-60s Oldies = Real Oldies (WRIT HD-2)

Rock Nation = Active Rock

The Alternative Project = Alternative (WIBA HD-2)

Country Road = Mainstream County (Probably on WMAD for some hours.)

Foggy Mountain = Classic Country (WOKY outside of mornings. WMAD HD-2)

Nashville Channel = Hot Country

Soft Rock = AC

Classic Rock = Classic Rock (Probably on WIBA for some hours)

World Class Rock = AAA

Sunny Radio = Gold Soft AC

Today's Mix = Hot AC

All My Jams = Urban AC

The Beat = Urban

There's also a few others, like Pride Radio, Slow Jams, and Mother Trucker (Rockin' Country) which are likely limited to HD-2 channels.
