Milwaukee — Newsradio 620 WTMJ (WTMJ-AM) has won a national Edward R. Murrow award for sports reporting. The piece, by Dan O’Donnell, was about a little boy from the area who was killed by a drunk driver in 2010. Treyton Kilar loved baseball and the Brewers, and his family is raising money to build a youth-sized baseball field. Not only did the Brewers make a huge donation to the effort, but they also invited the family to throw out the first pitch during the NLCS last year. Trey’s father threw the pitch to his son's idol, Prince Fielder. “We are very proud of Dan’s work and thrilled that it was recognized at a national level,” said Executive Vice
President Steve Wexler.
