Jay Weber in Milwaukee is blabbering on all morning about how Rush shouldn't have had to apologize, and how Rush's apology was sincere and genuine. And how "the left" regularly says worse things about the right's women.

Then he played a clip of Sly yapping about Rebecca Kleefisch performing fellatio on all the right wing talk show hosts and how she had colon cancer and went around the state using that to campaign on.

A) Sly on Rebecca is different. She's a politician. She WAS campaigning. She was fair game.

B) The woman who testified before Congress and was subject to Rush's remarks was JUST testifying because she was requested to. She is NOT a talk show host, she is NOT campaigning for office, nor is she already an in-office politician.

C) Rush's apology was a non-apology. Listen to it for yourself. He kept harping on what he said originally, repeating it, apologizing for if people felt what he said was wrong. Unlike an apology last year from Ed Schultz for calling Laura Ingram, a fellow talk show host, where he really sincerely from the heart apologized for using language he doesn't pride himself on using, and how he embarassed the company he worked for, then he took a week suspension on the tv and radio shows... compare that what Rush did.

D) Sly is on a 2,000 watt Madison non-station. The fact that he keeps getting played soundbytes in Milwaukee is amazing. My point is that Sly remarks in no way compare to a talk show hosts who is regularly aired on hundreds of major, medium, and small market radio stations all over the country.
