: Here's my educated guess why Brad and Q106 parted ways: Like 100 other examples in radio that same month. The company's directors probably felt that the station was not progressing towards agreed-to goals in a timely fashion. Good things happened under that PD's reign, but perhaps not enough of them, or enough of them to translate into improved audience or revenue numbers quickly enough. That's just a guess, though.

Probably pretty accurate. I would add that, judging by the last 5 years of Q106 internals, it would seem that management has strange expectations and isn't really sure what they want.

: As to John Sebastian, he left to open his own consulting firm. Good luck with that. Consultants are hired based on their success stories, and short time lines. That's not a guess. Can I go to lunch now?

Sure, you have the hall pass. You're right about consultants. But I think a lot of us thought JS was more than coming in a PD Consultant capacity. Sure, many times a consultant will come in and take the PD stripes to turn a station around, but that's usually pretty known around the halls that he's only in it for the short term.
