A New York news outlet did a poll and pollers voted 2 to 1 that they would like DC to go quietly into the night. They said his presence makes them uncomfortable.

It is always sad to see someone so on top of their game and with such history fall victim to an illness or injury. But it happened. Unfortunately I have to agree that I would like DC to just be a background player. He still has a chance to be remembered as America's Oldest Teenager.
